
2025 Newroz slogan announced

	AMED - This year's slogan of the Newroz has been determined as "Rêbertiya Azad Civaka Demokratîk / Democratic Society Newroz for Freedom".

	&nbsp;

	Newroz will be celebrated in at least 89 central locations this year. The celebrations will start on 11 March with a declaration in Amed (Diyarbakır) and Istanbul. Then, on 12 March, the first Newroz fire will be lit in Licê (Lice) district of Amed.&nbsp;

	&nbsp;

	This year's slogan for the celebrations has also been announced. The Newroz Organising Committee has determined this year's slogan as "Rêbertiya Azad Civaka Demokratîk/Democratic Society Newroz for Freedom". The slogan refers to the call announced by Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan on 27 February.&nbsp;
