Israel-US attacks on Iran enter 5th day
NEWS CENTER – As the attacks launched by the US and Israel against Iran enter their 5th day, hundreds of airstrikes have taken place in dozens of cities. Mutual airstrikes continued until the morning hours.
The attacks launched by Israel and the US against Iran continue on their 5th day with air and missile strikes. The attacks continued throughout last night. The developments during the night, as mutual attacks persisted, are as follows:
*It was reported that an “unidentified projectile” struck a commercial vessel east of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It was stated that all passengers on board were safe and there were no signs of fire or water ingress on the vessel.
*Numerous explosions occurred in northeastern Tehran.
*In a video shared by an Iranian user, the exact time of which could not be determined, groups affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) opened direct fire on people watching and recording events from the windows of their homes.
*The Israeli army announced that the Israeli Air Force launched a major wave of attacks against the Iranian regime’s launch pads, defense systems and other infrastructure areas.
*Violent explosions occurred in the city of Karaj. Similarly, it was reported that attacks also took place in Isfahan and Shiraz. It was learned that the attacks continued from after midnight until around 5 a.m. At least four explosions occurred in Karaj. It was stated that the explosions were large enough to create an earthquake-like impact.
*An airstrike targeted areas near an oil field in Kermanshah in the morning hours.
*During the night, it was reported that there were “several explosions in the direction of Khomeini Street and New Shapur Street.” Isfahan’s Soffe direction was shelled twice and a barracks belonging to the Iranian regime near Soffe Mountain was shelled three times.
*The Israeli army targeted the headquarters of security forces affiliated with the Iranian regime and the Basij (civil police unit).
*Qatar’s Ministry of Defense reported that a ballistic missile launched from Iran struck Al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest US military base in the Middle East. It was stated that there were no casualties in the attack.
*It was learned that the IRGC made announcements through mosque loudspeakers in the city of Marivan, calling on citizens to evacuate their homes.
ATTACKS ON 60 BASES IN 18 CITIES
*Hengaw reported that at least 60 military bases were targeted in 18 cities. The cities are as follows: “Somar, Kermanshah, Javanroud, Ravansar, Islam Abad-e Gharb (Shabad), Sarpol-e Zahab, Salas Babajani, Paveh, Marivan, Sarvabad, Sanandaj, Saqiz, Sardasht, Piranshahr, Oshnavieh (Shno), Mahabad, Urmia and Silvana.” Sources from Hengaw confirmed that more than 120 government forces and 15 civilians were killed during these attacks. Civilians were killed in the cities of Kermanshah, Paveh, Oshnavieh, Bukan, Mahabad and Urmia.
*Hengaw claimed that a group close to the Revolutionary Guards in Iraq carried out a drone attack on a PKK base.
*A group called “Saraya Awliya al-Dam,” a component of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, announced that it carried out the drone attack on Hewler in the early morning hours.
*Violent explosions occurred in Khorramabad.
*It was reported that an explosion occurred at the IRGC headquarters in Naqadeh.
*French President Emmanuel Macron stated: “We remain committed to our obligations to our Kurdish allies in the Middle East.”
