NEWS CENTER - KNK Co-Chair Ahmet Karamus said that HPG members who lost their lives as a result of the attacks of KDP special forces should be delivered to their families.
5 HPG members lost their lives when the Roj peshmerga affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) special forces set up an ambush in the Xelifan region of the Federated Kurdistan Region. An HPG survivor of the KDP attack told the Fırat News Agency (ANF) what happened. After the HPG announced the identification information of those who lost their lives in the KDP attack, families took action to retrieve the bodies. However, despite all the efforts of the families, the KDP refuses to deliver the bodies of HPG members who lost their lives.
WERE THE BODIES DELIVERED TO TURKEY?
Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) Co-Chair Ahmet Karamus spoke to RojNews about the attacks of the KDP and the fact that the bodies of those who lost their lives were not given to their families. Strongly condemning the KDP's attacks, Karamus said, "Killing guerrillas like this is immoral and is against Kurdish interests. As KNK, we tried to persuade the KDP to deliver the bodies to their families. If they aren't delivering the bodies to their families, is the KDP hand over the bodies to the invading Turkish state?”
BODIES OF GUERRILLAS MUST BE RETURNED TO THEIR FAMILIES
Karamus stated that the KDP should put an end to its attacks immediately and made the following call: “The KDP should end its cooperation with the Turkish state. The war against the Kurds is not in the interests of the Kurds. The protest of the guerrilla families at the Semalka Border Gate is very valuable. We want the bodies of the guerrillas to be returned to their families as soon as possible.”
