ANKARA - The summary against HDP MP Semra Güzel was sent to the Presidency of the Parliament.
The summary prepared against Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır MP Semra Güzel which was sent from the Ministry of Justice to the Presidency yesterday, was sent back to the Presidency of the Parliament today.
The summary on which HDP's Güzel was accused of "membership in a terrorist organization" will be sent to the Constitution and Justice Commission. The summary, which is expected to be discussed in the commission, will be sent to the General Assembly for further discussion. With the acceptance of the lifting of her immunity in the General Assembly, Güzel will no longer have parliamentary immunity and it will pave the way for her prosecution.
Güzel was targeted by the pro-government media for her photos taken with PKK member Volkan Bora during the peace process in 2014.
