URFA - Continuing their struggle for justice, Şenyaşar family asked, "Isn't there one public official with conscience that will put an end to this injustice?"
Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in a massacre carried out by the AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives on 14 June 2018 in the Suruç district of Urfa, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, are continuing the sit in in front of the Urfa Courthouse. The sit in, launched on March 9, is on its 315th day. Coming from their house which is 42 kilometers away from the courthouse, mother and son started the sit in for the day.
The family shared the following from their Twitter account: "A mother is staging a sit in on a daily basis in front of the Urfa Courthouse for a year now. The Minister of Justice says the courthouses are doors to justice. Should we believe what they say or what we see? Isn't there one public official with conscience that will put an end to this injustice?"
