URFA- Continuing the sit-in for justice in front of the Urfa Courthouse, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "We will not leave here until we get justice."
Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in a massacre carried out by the AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives on 14 June 2018 in the Suruç district of Urfa, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, are continuing the sit in in front of the Urfa Courthouse. The sit in, launched on March 9, is on its 323th day. While Emine Şenyaşar continues the hunger strike at her home in Suruç due to the cold weather and her health issues, Ferit Şenyaşar arrived at the courthouse early and started the sit in for the day.
'THERE IS A MASSACRE THAT NEEDS TO BE ACKNOWLADGED'
Stating that his mother could not come due to her health issues, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "There is a massacre, a crime against humanity that needs to be acknowlaged if Turkey is a state of law. Everyone including the Urfa Governor and the President Erdoğan know that this is true. No one does what a state of law needs to do because an AKP MP is involved in the killings."
'WE WILL RESIST TO THE END'
Stating that the authority of the prosecutors were taken away from them, Şenyaşar said: "The authority of the prosecutors have been taken away from them. The cruelty continues because of it. We will resist to the end. We will get justice. Three people from our family have been killed and my brother was arrested illegally. He is being held in solitary confinement alone for almost 4 years. We will not leave here until we get justice."
The family shared the following message from their Twitter account: "The justice we demand in front of the courthouse will sure disturb someone! If the prosecutor's acted on their conscience, we wouldn't be here demanding justice but their greed of power turned their consciences into stone."
