URFA - Continuing their struggle for justice and underlining that Emine Şenyaşar is exposed to violence for 325 days in front of everyone, Şenyaşar family said: "Violence against women is violence against humanity. End this violence now."
Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in a massacre carried out by the AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives on 14 June 2018 in the Suruç district of Urfa, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, are continuing the sit in in front of the Urfa Courthouse. The sit in, launched on March 9, is on its 325th day. While Emine Şenyaşar continues the hunger strike at her home in Suruç due to the cold weather and her health issues, Ferit Şenyaşar arrived at the courthouse early and started the sit in for the day.
Tagging the Twitter accounts of Women's Councils, Free Women's Movement (TJA) and Republican People's Party (CHP) Women's Branch, Şenyaşar family shared the following message from Twitter: "There are many types of violence, one of them is 'Injustice.' A woman in Urfa (Emine Şenyaşar) has been resisting the violence she has been subjected to in front of everyone for 325 days. Violence against women is violence against humanity. End this violence now.”
