Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in a massacre carried out by the AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives on June 14, 2018 in the Suruç district of Urfa, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, are continuing the sit in in front of the Urfa Courthouse. The sit in, launched on March 9, 2021, is on its 348th day. While Emine Şenyaşar continues the sit-in at her house since the courthouse is closed durign weekends, Ferit Şenyaşar went to İstanbul to attend the "People's Houses Press, Art and Solidarity Awards".
The family shared the following message from Twitter: "We are on the road to be heard by the authorities. They will either hear our voice or they will be gone for good. Everything ends one day. We will keep our faith. Our struggle will bring justice. Beautiful days are just ahead of us."
