ISTANBUL - Lawyer access restrictions have been imposed on journalists detained during home raids in Istanbul, Ankara and Riha.
9 journalists were detained in house raids on Free Press workers in Istanbul, Ankara and Riha (Urfa) this morning. During house raids in Istanbul, Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporter Esra Solin Dal, Yeni Yaşam Newspaper worker Enes Sezgin and Free Press workers Saliha Aras, Yeşim Alici, Beste Argat Balcı, Sirin Ermiş and journalist Erdogan Alayumat were detained. MA reporter Mehmet Aslan was detained in the house raid in Ankara, and former MA reporter Dogan Kaynak was detained in the house raid in Riha.
Lawyer access were restricted for detained Free Press workers.
