ISTANBUL - 3 journalists who were referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest were arrested.
The judicial interrogation of Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporters Mehmet Aslan, Esra Solin Dal and Free Press worker Erdoğan Alayumat, who were detained in house raids on April 23 within the scope of the Istanbul-based operation, has ended.
The journalists, who were referred to the judge's office with a request for arrest after their statements to the prosecutor's office, were arrested on the charge of "membership in a terrorist organization".
It was learned that Esra Solin Dal would be taken to Bakırköy Women's Closed Prison, Erdoğan Alayumut would be taken to Metris Prison, and Mehmet Aslan would be taken to Sincan Prison.
