NEWS CENTER - Condemning the use of chemical weapons, Yazidi women said: "We must protect those who saved us from genocide. Today is our turn to protect them."

The use of chemical weapons against the Zap, Metîna and Avaşîn regions of the Federated Kurdistan Region of Turkey continues. Identities of 17 HPG and YJA-Star members who lost their lives as a result of chemical weapons in the last 3 months of the attacks have been disclosed. In addition, images of 2 HPG members affected by chemical weapons were published. Yazidi women were rescued by the HPG in the ISIS attacks on Shengal on August 3, 2014, condemning the use of chemical weapons.

BEDEL CONDEMNED THE INTERNATIONAL SILENCE

Being a member of the Yazidi Free Women's Movement (TAJÊ) Coordination, described the use of chemical weapons as an "international conspiracy". Neam Bedel said: "The whole world has closed its ears and eyes against chemical weapons attacks. Whoever remains silent against these attacks is an accomplice in these attacks. There is no such thing as international law. Countries such as Germany, America and Britain are supplying arms to Turkey. We, the Yazidis, owe the guerrilla. The guerrilla is a human force and a humane idea. Wherever anyone is in a difficult situation, the guerrilla rescues and protects them. It was the guerrilla who rescued in 2014 and saved us from the genocide. They organised the Yazidis by getting ahead of the massacre."

By calling for unity among all Kurds against the use of chemical weapons, Bedel said: "The Kurds must unite and oppose the Barzani family. The people of Bashur Kurdistan should not accept this betrayal. How long will the Barzani family suck the blood of the Kurds? A national attitude is needed against these attacks. It should be said that enough is enough now."

'WE OWE OUR LIFE TO GUERRILLA'

Calling they must protect those who saved them from the genocide, Emişê Xirmiş, one of the Yazidi women said:"The use of chemical weapons is prohibited. This is not humane. It was the guerrilla who rescued us when there was a massacre in 2014. No one else came to rescue us. If they had not taken care of the Yazidis, maybe the Yazidis would not be here today. We owe it to guerrillas. That's why we owe them to rescue us. We need to protect them as they protect us. We need to show this with statements, marches and different activities. We call on all states that they should not be deaf, stop the use of banned chemical weapons."

'IT IS OUT TURN TO PROTECT GUERRILLA'

Condemning the use of chemical weapons, Fehime Silêman said: “We have seen and experienced a lot. No one should accept this. We support them all the way because they saved us. They saved thousands of Yazidi children and their mothers from slaughter. The peshmerga turned their back on us, the Iraqi government turned its back, but they took care of us. Today it's our turn to protect guerrillas. We will also do our part.”
