HAKKARİ - While military losses were concealed in the operations launched 8 months ago in the Zap, Avaşin and Metina regions with the partnership of the TAF and the KDP, a ranger who took part in the operation stated that no progress was made.

The attack launched on April 17 in partnership with the Turkish Armed Forces and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) against Avaşîn, Zap and Metina in the Federated Kurdistan Region continues with intense clashes. The clashes that take place in the attacks, which have left their 8th month behind, are getting more intense with each passing day.

In Colemêrg, which is the border line of the operation area and where it is coordinated, military shipments and helicopter mobility are experienced every day. While the identities of 78 soldiers and guards who lost their lives were announced in the official statements made by the TAF, there is no information about the fate of the wounded and missing soldiers.

EQUIPMENT IS SENT WITH ARTICULATED LORRY

While military equipment, medical and vital supplies are transported to the district gendarmerie commands every day, military equipment is brought from Ankara to Selahattin Eyyubi Airport in Gever (Yuksekova) by cargo on days when violent conflicts take place in the operation area. According to the information obtained; In particular, the planes that bring military ammunition and medical supplies to the operation area often carry the bodies of soldiers.

WOUNDS ARE NOT BROUGHT TO THE STATE HOSPITAL

It was stated that a field hospital was established in the districts of Şemdinli and Derecik, which are located on the zero line of the border, where wounded soldiers were brought. According to the information given by the sources; Soldiers injured in the clashes are being treated in field hospitals established in the Barzan region between the borders of Derecik district and Federated Kurdistan Region. Local sources state that efforts are made not to take the bodies of soldiers to state hospitals unless it is necessary, and that district hospitals are preferred on days when the number of wounded soldiers is high.

'WE DID NOT GET NEWS FROM 6 SOLDIERS AGAIN'

Stating that they were forcibly sent to a detected tunnel with the Siirt Commando Brigade in mid-October, a ranger who does not want to give his name said: “As rangers, we were behind to enter the tunnel. A team of 7 people entered inside and only one soldier's body was found in the explosion. They tried to go inside to get the bodies of 6 soldiers many times, but they couldn't. Due to the escalation of the conflict, we had to leave the bodies inside and go back. Afterwards, we could not learn the fate of the bodies of 6 soldiers.”

SOLDIERS: WHAT DO WE DO HERE?

Stating that the soldiers who were with them while they were on duty in the operation area complained about the situation they were in while chatting with the rangers, the ranger said: “The soldiers are constantly complaining about 'why are we here'. Due to intense conflicts, we could not carry food for days or even weeks. Helicopters were also unable to fly close due to harassment fire. The 3 months I spent there were disgraceful."
