ANKARA - HDP MPs called for an end to the isolation against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, the most important actor in the democratic solution, and called for an end to this unlawfulness, to commit crimes, to the Imrali isolation.

 

The demonstration, initiated by Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MPs demanding that PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan meet with his lawyers, continues on its 10th day. MPs marched from the Parliament Dikmen Gate to the Ministry of Justice. The march that MPs Fatma Kurtulan, Murat Sarısaç, Abdullah Koç, Habip Eksik, Erdal Aydemir, Hüseyin Kaçmaz, Hasan Özgüneş, Erol Katırcıoğlu, Mahmut Toğrul, Celadet Gaydalı, Ayşe Sürer, Nusrettin Maçin and İmam Taşçıer wanted to do against the Ministry of Justice, was carried out by the police, was blocked. Speaking in a statement made here, HDP MP Habip Eksik said that PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who was brought to Imralı Island with an international conspiracy, has been held in heavy isolation conditions for 24 years and has not been heard from for 22 months.

 

Drawing attention to the lack of communication in Imrali, Mr. Eksik said: “The biggest obstacle to the future of the peoples of Turkey, the biggest obstacle to the people of Turkey living in a peaceful democratic life, the one who wants to take a step towards the democratic solution of the Kurdish problem and takes a role in this issue is the most important solution. Isolation continues on Mr. Abdullah Öcalan, who is one of the actors."

 

'THE BIGGEST OBSTACLE ARE THE WHO REALIZED THE CONSTRUCTION'

 

Eksik said: “A system of isolation has been imposed on Mr. Öcalan and other prisoners in Imrali Prison for almost 22 months during this period of power. This isolation is against both the Turkish Constitution, international conventions and the law. All human and legal rights of Mr. Öcalan are being usurped. He is not allowed to see his family, lawyers, or anyone else. Today, we know very well that the biggest obstacle to the lifting of this isolation is the forces that carry out the international conspiracy and do not want peace in the Middle East and Turkey. We know very well that the government acts as an adjutant to these forces. We appeal to our peoples; This isolation must be lifted as soon as possible.”

 

'IMALI GATES MUST BE OPENED'

 

Underlining that the problems between the peoples of Turkey cannot be solved unless the isolation is lifted, Eksik said: “The economy gets worse every day, life gets worse. The basis of the problems experienced by the peoples of Turkey today is the deadlock in the Kurdish Question and the policies of war. The place and address of the solution of these problems is to meet with the interlocutors. The biggest and most important actor in solving the Kurdish Question is Mr. Öcalan. The talks with Mr. Öcalan during the resolution process showed that the way to peace and to establish a common life in the Middle East, and for the peoples of Turkey to lead a democratic and equal life together, passes through an honorable peace, through the democratic peace of the Kurdish question. The way to do this is to continue negotiations and ensure peace. Just like in the solution process, Imrali gates must be opened and negotiations are held again."
