MARDİN - Kurdish artist Kasım Taşdoğan's concert in Nusaybin today was canceled due to the threat of the police and security forces.

 

The concert by Kurdish artist Kasım Taşdoğan in a cafe in the Nusaybin district of Mardin was canceled as a result of threats from the Nusaybin District Police Department and the Nusaybin Municipality police teams under the management of a trustee appointed instead of an elected mayor. According to the information obtained; the police and the municipal police, who went to the venue 2 hours before the concert, stated that there was no permission for the concert, and threatened to intervene and seal the workplace if the concert was held.

 

The concert was canceled as the negotiations did not yield any results. Making a statement about what happened, artist Taşdoğan pointed out that the concert was canceled without any justification, and reacted, "We are not sad, we are not angry, we do not care".
