VAN - Stating that the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan has made the society lose, Green Left Party Van Provincial Co-Chair Gönül Uzunay invited the people to the "Gemlik March" that will start on February 6.

Under the leadership of Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA), MED Detainees and Convict Families Legal and Solidarity Associations Federation (MED TUHAD-FED) and the Association for Assistance and Solidarity with Families Losing Their Relatives in the Cradle of Civilizations (MEBYA-DER), a two-pronged march will be launched from the Qoser (Kızıltepe) districts of Merdîn and the Gever ( Yüksekova) districts of Colemêrg towards Gemlik on February 6. Green Left Party Van Provincial Co-chairperson Gönül Uzunay, who called for participation in the march to be held with the slogan "We are marching to İmralı for a solution", emphasized that the road to a democratic Turkey passes through İmralı.

Stating that the states want to take over the leaders of the revolution with isolation, Uzunay said: “A heavy isolation has been implemented in the person of Mr. Öcalan for 24 years;
however, Abdullah Öcalan, with his women's libertarian, democratic and ecological paradigm, offered a new way to the peoples of the Middle East and the world. We have to fight for the opening of this road."

Stating that the main reason for the harsh conditions in the country is the Kurdish problem and the isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan, which is related to it, Uzunay said: "A great struggle is being waged against isolation both in Imrali and abroad. Even though they wanted to prevent Öcalan from reaching the society, the society understood Öcalan's ideas and paradigm. “People are clear about it.”

CALL TO MARCH

Emphasizing that they do not accept the isolation imposed upon Abdullah Öcalan and that they will fight against it, Uzunay said: “We invite all our people to the march on February 6. The people should not allow their will to be trampled underfoot and should protect their will.”
