MARAŞ - Maraş resembles a ruined city with dust and debris rising from collapsed buildings. Even though it has been 17 days since the earthquake, citizens stay in makeshift tents and carry water from burst pipes.

 

In two separate earthquakes, the epicenter of which was Maraş, 40 percent of the city was destroyed. Debris removal works are carried out in the city, where search and rescue efforts ended days ago; however, asbestos rising into the air is a harbinger of new dangers since water is not used during these studies.

 

WATER FROM EXPLODED PIPE, MAKESHIFT TENT

RUBBLES REMOVED FROM THE CITY TO ANOTHER PART OF THE CITY

 

The rubble removed from the city center is loaded into vehicles and spilled one kilometer beyond the junction where Gaziantep, Adıyaman crossroads is located. Smoke rises from the area where hundreds of trucks go and dump rubble.
