VAN - Members of the Peace Mothers Council stated that they will shout the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan in the Newroz areas.

 

There are only a few days left until the Newroz, which will be held in 43 centers this year with the motto "Everywhere is Newroz, everytime is freedom". A feverish work is being carried out for Newroz, which is dedicated to those who lost their lives in the Mereş-centered earthquakes. Members of the Van Peace Mothers Council, who are excitedly waiting for Newroz, said that they will be on the streets this year with the message of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's physical freedom.

 

THE ENTHUSIASM OF NEWROZ

 

Stating that they greeted Newroz with sadness due to earthquakes, Zekeriya Kaya said: "Newroz was a 'resurrection day' for them. Newroz means a lot; We welcome you with enthusiasm. All mothers and women will shout out. They should come to those who wear their Kurdish clothes. This Newroz brings unity and solidarity with it. We had souls who set their bodies on fire for the sake of Newroz, and they became a symbol for us. I hope this Newroz will be your voice for peace in the world.”

 

'NEWROZ WILL BRING REAL SPRING'

 

Stating that Newroz is our spring and our holiday, Rabia Algör said: "Kurds have paid a great price for Newroz in the past. Algör said: “For the Kurdish people, our souls, who set their bodies on fire, are of great importance to us. Everyone from seven to seventy should flock to the Newroz areas. Everyone who will come to the fields will have the scar of the earthquake in their hearts. This Newroz will be a very different Newroz and will bring us the real spring.”

 

REQUEST FOR PHYSICAL FREEDOM OF ÖCALAN

 

Stating that they will shout for the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan at this year's Newroz, Asya Özlü said: "This Newroz will bring the freedom of our leadership (Öcalan). I go to Newroz every year with great love, this year we will go sad because of the earthquake. But again, everyone will be on the streets with great enthusiasm.”

 

Besna Aydoğan said: “Despite all the pain, we will still light the Newroz fire in the fields. I congratulate the Newroz holiday of all our people in prison, especially the leadership.”

 

Noting that her expectation from Newroz is "freedom", Perişan Arslan said: "May Newroz bring peace, freedom, unity and solidarity. Newroz will be different this year. That's why all our people need to fill the fields. I hope this Newroz will be like the old Newroz. Let Newroz bring spring.”
