4 days before the election: AKP-MHP should be ousted in the ballot box

ISTANBUL - HDP Provincial Co-Chair Ferhat Encu, who called on 11 million voters who will vote in Istanbul to protect the ballot boxes, called out, "Everyone should take care of the ballot box after voting so that the power that loses on the field does not come out of the ballot box. AKP-MHP should be ousted in the ballot box."

While the last 4 days are left until May 14, when the Presidential and 28th Term Parliamentary Elections will be held, political parties are working hard for election security. Parties that want to prevent possible irregularities aim to send the 21-year AKP rule by protecting the ballot boxes. Ferhat Encu, Istanbul Provincial Co-chair of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), which will enter the elections from the lists of the Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party), made a call to 11 million 350 thousand 969 voters of Istanbul, who will determine the fate of May 14, to protect the ballot box.

'THE ELECTION WILL BE THE ELECTION OF LIBERATION'

Stating that May 14 will be an election in which a democratic life will be preferred for the peoples of Turkey against authoritarianism, Encu also underlined that it will be an election against the war, economic crisis, isolation and poverty imposed on the people by the 21-year AKP rule. Encu said: “There will be an election that can open the way for liberation for the peoples. In other words, we do not have a point of view that 'the people will be free with the departure of the AKP government', but the way will be opened because the biggest obstacle to the democratization of the country is the AKP and MHP government."

THE GOVERNMENT FEARS OF LOSING

Stating that the AKP and MHP government's attacks on all political parties, especially the Green Left Party, have increased, adding that the reason for this is the government's fear of losing the elections. Encu said: “Because they know that they will lose the elections, they try to hold on with attacks. They carry out these attacks by forming the basis of polarization, marginalization and violence. The government has committed great crimes and sins so far. Since the society will be held accountable with the change of power, they have put such offensive policies into effect. These attacks are also an indication that the government will use all kinds of attack policies in order not to go. But no matter what they do, they will not be able to avoid losing power. We see that the power in the electoral field is now losing. We have a concern that the losing power on the field has a plan to come out of the ballot box. That's why the people have to prevent the government that plans to get out of the ballot box."

CALL FOR BOXES

From the training of the observers to the training of the school officials, we are working hard to make the society sensitive to the ballot boxes. In the elections, especially our Green Left Party voters should protect their votes on election day. Everyone must make sacrifices. For us, it is a choice of fate. For the freedom of political prisoners, for a more democratic future, for equal representation, for a stronger parliament, everyone should use their votes and protect the ballot box.”
