ANKARA - Stating that the People's Alliance is "misogynistic" and  Green Left Party Women's Council Spokesperson Canan Çalağan said: "We are voting on May 28 to stop fascism, security policies and hate speech."

The AKP-MHP government, which abolished the Istanbul Convention, included the Re-Welfare Party (YRP), which wanted to change the Law No. 6284 on the Protection of the Family and the Prevention of Violence Against Women, and HUDA PAR, which said "We will embrace single women", into the People's Alliance. Although the People's Alliance won the majority in the Parliament, the candidate who will win in the second round of the Presidential elections to be held on May 28 will directly affect the policies of the second century of Turkey with the current system.

Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party) Women's Council Spokesperson Canan Çalağan evaluated the women's policy of the People's Council with the May 28 election.

'WE WILL FIGHT FOR AN EQUAL LIFE'

Pointing out that the Green Left Party will carry the women's struggle on the street to the Parliament, Çalağan said: “On May 14, we stopped the one-man regime, fascism and the representation of the male-dominated order. We continue to work with all our strength to send it on May 28. We will fight for an equal life. The process is not over, our hope is still high. We trust ourselves, our struggle, our profitability, and the will of our people. We will go to the polls on May 28 and we will send them to their rightful place in history on the 28th, just as we stopped the male-dominated, one-man regime on the 14th. The balances will change, we will open a way to rebuild a life based on women's equality and freedom in this country. We will continue our fight.”

CALL FOR VOTES

Stating that AKP-MHP has stolen the future hopes of young women, Çalağan said: “We are faced with a power bloc that interferes with the lifestyle, thought and will of young women. We will vote once again, making sure that we will disperse this masculine siege, which we stopped on the 14th, on the 28th, we will cast our vote, we will protect our vote. It is a choice between the people, women, workers, the poor and the one-man regime. We vote for our freedom option. We are voting to stop this fascism, dark order, anti-democratic practices, security policies, divisive policies, language of hatred and violence.”
