It was requested to keep a report about the tents of the villagers who have been fighting for 2 years against the coal mine that is wanted to be opened in the Akbelen Forest in the Milas district of Muğla. Teams from the Gendarmerie and the Regional Directorate of Forestry made a parcel inquiry in the area last night. The villagers evaluated such an attack as "intimidation" right after the statement made against coal-fired power plants with dozens of ecologists from different provinces in the morning.

Stating that he detected coal being mined at the very beginning of the olive groves, Atal said: "According to the Olive Law, it is forbidden to approach the olive grove more than 3 kilometers, but we saw that they were doing this 50 meters away. The gendarmerie and the Forestry Directorate who condoned this intimidated us. We protect the forest from foresters. The violator of the Olive Law does not interfere with Limak. But we will report to Limak again tomorrow. If the prosecutors do not do their duty, we will also complain about them. Laws are not enforced in Milas.
