Journalist Sinan Aygül, who has been writing about the corruption and land sales of the municipality for a while, was attacked by the bodyguards of the AKP's Tatvan Municipality Mayor Emin Geylani. Aygül, who was battered in her head and many parts of her body, was taken to the hospital.

 

'I WAS BATTERED BY ARMED GUARDS'

 

Aygül shared the following message on his social media account:  "I was battered by the armed guards of the mayor Mehmet Emin Geylani in Tatvan a little while ago. The people who attacked me by getting out of the municipal vehicle, hit me on the head from behind, cursed me, and threatened me that if I write about the mayor again and I will die. I am being taken to Tatvan State Hospital.”
