NEWS CENTER - It was stated that a Kurd named Peyman Abdi, who was detained in Kermanshah, was tortured and killed.
 
A Kurd named Peyman Abdi, who was detained for allegedly clashing with the police two days ago in Kermanshah, Iran, was tortured and killed. Peyman Abdi, a 35-year-old father of two children who was taken into custody, was taken to a military hospital after falling into a coma as a result of the torture he experienced in custody. Doctors at the military hospital informed the family that Abdi died as a result of a blow to his head with a hard object. However, security units claimed that Peyman Abdi died by choking while eating in the detention center.
 
According to data from human rights institutions; At least 11 prisoners, including 8 Kurds, died of torture in Iranian prisons in 2023
