AMED - Reacting to the murder of women activist Firyal Süleyman Halid from Hesekê in Kirkuk, TJA said, "We know the forces behind the assassination very well."

A written statement was made by the Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) regarding the murder of women activist Firyal Süleyman Halid from Hesekê in Kirkuk city of the Federated Kurdistan Region.

In the statement titled "Kurdistan lands must be closed to the misogynistic mentality as soon as possible"
In the statement as follows: "Women activists and politicians have been the target of male-dominated governments in every period of history, wherever they are in the world. Those who murdered the Rosas, Sakînes, Sêvês, Nagîhans, Evîn Goyî and Deniz Poyraz have once again shown themselves in Kirkuk. On January 18, 2024, Firyal Süleyman Xalid was murdered by dark forces affiliated with Turkey on the road to Kirkuk. We know very well the forces behind this assassination of women activist Firyal Süleyman Xalid, who came to Kirkuk from Hesekê city of Rojava. This is a political murder. We will not allow the murder of a women activist in the middle of the street to be glossed over by saying 'An investigation has been launched'."

'MURDERERS HAVE THE SAME MENTALITY'

In the statement, it was underlined that the forces that previously murdered women in Rojava, Rojhilat, Bakur and Europe are the same as the forces that murdered Firyal.
The Statement as follows: "It is the responsibility of the Federated Kurdistan government to reveal these forces and to punish the perpetrators with the punishment they deserve. We, as Kurdish women, call for our free-living spaces in the lands of Kurdistan to be closed immediately to the reactionary and fascist mentality that has no share of humanity. We condemn the political assassination in the person of Firyal Süleyman Xalid. We condemn the collaborationist mentality that opened the lands of Kurdistan to massacres. You will not be able to digest our women's freedom struggle with massacres and assassinations. Our struggle against male-dominated governments will continue, and we will liberate the lands of Kurdistan with our struggle for women's freedom. "We will stop the massacres of women."
