NEWS CENTER - One person died in the attack on Sunday service at Santa Maria Church in Sarıyer.

 

An armed attack was carried out by 2 people wearing ski masks during the Sunday service at the Santa Maria Church in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul. Two attackers wearing ski masks entered the church during the service and opened fire. Those in the church threw themselves on the ground to protect themselves during the attack. One person was shot in the head during the attack and died.

 

STATEMENT FROM MINISTER YERLIKAYA

 

Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya made a statement about the attack on the virtual media account X. Yerlikaya stated that C.T., who was among those who attended the service, died in the attack that took place around 11.40 am.
