Toll of the fire: 5 dead, 44 injured

NEWS CENTER - Making a statement about the fire that broke out between Amed and Mêrdîn, the Minister of Health stated that 5 people lost their lives and 44 people were injured, 10 of them seriously.
 
Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca made a statement about the fire, which was said to be caused by sparks from electrical wires between Amed's Xana Axpar (Çınar) and Mêrdîn's Şemrex (Mazıdağ) districts.
 
Stating that 5 people lost their lives in the fire, Koca said: "44 people were affected by the fire, 10 of them seriously. We lost 3 lives in Diyarbakır and 2 in Mardin. 35 Ambulances and 7 UMKE Teams were assigned due to the incident."
