NEWS CENTER - Making a statement about the fire that occurred between Xana Axpar and Şemrex districts, DEM Party said: "This tragedy once again showed that the state and the government are not on the side of the people in any disaster."

 

People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) made a statement on the virtual media platform X account regarding the fire that broke out in the area between Mêrdîn's Şemrex (Mazıdağı) and Amed's Xana Axpar (Çınar) district.

 

In the statement, it was stated that 7 people lost their lives and 44 people were injured, 10 of them seriously, in the fire that started last night and spread to residential areas, and added: "We are healing the wounds of the fire disaster together with our people. Our pain is great, my condolences to our people. We wish a speedy recovery to our injured. All our regional municipalities, especially Diyarbakır, Mardin and Van, mobilized against the disaster, where the government was late and insufficient to intervene, by intervening in the fire and providing aid to the public. Our Co-Mayors, Members of Parliament and Co-Chairs of our Component Party DBP, Çiğdem Kılıçgün Uçar and Keskin Bayındır, share the pain and continue to heal the wounds with the people in the villages where the disaster occurred. This tragedy showed once again that the state and the government are not on the side of the people in any disaster. They are not there in earthquakes, they are not in fires, they are not in floods. However, together with our people, we have the power to overcome any disaster!”
