ÊLIH - Halil Yıldız, a 30-year prisoner released from Metris Type R Closed Prison, was welcomed with enthusiasm in his hometown Êlih.

 

Halil Yıldız, a prisoner of 30 years who was released from Istanbul Metris Type R Closed Prison, was welcomed with mass in his hometown Êlih (Batman).  Yıldız, who was detained in the center of Êlih in 1994, was sentenced to life imprisonment by the State Security Court (DGM) for “disrupting the unity and integrity of the state”. Imprisoned for 30 years, Yıldız was held in 4 different prisons during this period. 

 

After being welcomed with enthusiasm, Yıldız went to his family home in Gap neighborhood and was visited by many people.
