RIHA - 10 political prisoners in Urfa Type T Closed Prison No 1 were given disciplinary penalties for halay on August 15.
Disciplinary penalties were given to 10 prisoners in Urfa Type T Closed Prison No 1 for taking halay on August 15. In the investigation opened against the prisoners by the administrative disciplinary board on the grounds of “unnecessary singing”, the prisoners testified that halay is not forbidden. The disciplinary board issued a one-month deprivation of communication and communication tools and a one-month ban on visitors against 10 prisoners on the grounds that the songs contained the word “Kurdistan”.
The prisoners appealed against the decision to Urfa Execution Judgeship through their lawyers.
On the other hand, İsmail Kaplan and Ahmet Yılmaz from the same prison were transferred to Erzincan High Security Prison without informing their families.
