ŞIRNAK- Turkish state said that they "killed terrorists" for the brothers Celal and Mehmet Ata Acar who were murdered two years apart in Dargeçit. Despite the intervening 30 years, neither perpetrators were found nor prosecuted. Nebiha Acar, who is fighting for justice for her brothers, said: "Our only crime is being Kurdish."

In Kurdistan, thousands of villages were evacuated and burned in the 90s for "security" reasons. Şırnak and Mardin came first among the centers of forced migration. The oppression and persecution on people of the region was not limited to the burning and evacution of villages, thousands of people were killed and disappeared in an "unsolved murder" and Celal and Mehmet Ata Acar were one of the murders in Kurdistan.

Celal Acar and his friend were forcibly removed from their homes by the sodiers in 1992 and taken to the village cemetery and they were murdered in there. Their clothes were taken off and the clothes of the PKK members were put on them and then the statement was made as "Terrorist were killed".

Gelîkur villages were forced to migrate in the following years because they didn't accept the imposition of rangers. In 1994, while Mehmet Ata Acar were going to visit his cousin, he was detained by soldiers and rangers and then his body, which was left with a gun, was taken to the Dargeçit battalion and it was said that "we killed a terrorist".

JUSTICE FOR HER BROTHERS KILLED

When the family's attempts for justice failed, Nebiha Acar participated to the Saturday Mothers demonstrations to find the perpetrators of her brothers. Acar said: "My brothers are civilians. Celal has 3 chilren and Mehmet has 1 child. Turkish state killed my brothers and imposited  to being of rangers to us but we rejected to being of rangers. After our decision, the state set our house on fire. At that night, around 01:00, the soldiers raided our house and evacuate our village. We were forced to migrate twice. Wherever we went, they imposed the rangers to us. Finaly we moved to Idil and during the curfew in 2015, the state burned our house. Our only crime is being Kurdish. No matter what, we will never give up on our fight until justice will serve."
