AMED – DBP and HDP Amed(Diyarbakır) provincial co-chairs stated that they will be in Amara on April 4 against the isolation and called for participation in the march to be held.

 

A march will be held in the Amara Neighborhood of the Xelfetî (Halfeti) district of İha on the occasion of the 74th birthday of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan under the leadership of Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Free Women's Movement (TJA), Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party) and Families of Prisoners and Convicts, Law Solidarity Associations Federation (MED TUHAD). DBP and HDP Amed Provincial co-chairs, who called for participation in the march to be held on April 4 with the slogan "To Amara for Freedom", stated that the way to solve the problems of the country, especially the Kurdish Question, passes through Imrali.

 

'ISOLATION MUST BE ENDED'

 

Drawing attention to Öcalan's solution proposals for the voice of peace against war, HDP Provincial Co-chair Gülistan Atasoy said: "As of the period we live in, both in Kurdistan, in the Middle East and in Turkey, we are faced with very basic problems that impose themselves on the solution point. The first of these is the reality of war. The period we are going through is a very important period in which the voice of peace against war and all social problems should be solved with the philosophy of equality and freedom. For this reason, the isolation of Mr. Öcalan must be lifted as soon as possible so that he can play the role and mission of the period. Lifting the isolation of Mr. Öcalan has to be taken as a basis for solving the fundamental problems of both the period we live in and the geography.”

 

'WE WILL BE IN AMARA FOR PEACE'

 

Pointing out the resolution process carried out in 2013-2015, HDP Provincial Co-Chair Zeyyat Ceylan continued as follows: “There was an atmosphere of peace in different parts of the society during the resolution process. There was a period of peace. The talks with Mr. Öcalan actually bring a solution for all the peoples of the Middle East. When this is best negotiated, when Mr. Öcalan's voice reaches the society, the color of society changes in a positive way. That's why the Kurdish people know what kind of contributions Mr. Öcalan has made to the honorable peace process. April 4 is a very important day. Embracing Mr. Öcalan is also protecting peace. It means to embrace his philosophy of peace and solution. It is to protect the dialogue and solution negotiation. For this reason, the Kurdish people always march to Amara on April 4. Our people will march to Amara this April 4th. We will celebrate the birthday of Mr. Öcalan with his family in Amara on April 4 and we will embrace Mr. Öcalan together with our people, all political parties and non-governmental organizations. We invite the people of Amed(Diyarbakır) to celebrate in Amara.”
