ANKARA - Ayla Akat Ata and Sebahat Tuncel, held in Sincan Women's Closed Prison, said regarding the May 14 elections: "We are establishing the path to democracy and freedom with the Green Left Party."
Sebahat Tuncel and Ayla Akat Ata, politicians held in Sincan Women's Closed Prison, wrote a letter about the May 14 elections. Women politicians stated that the path to democracy and freedom will be established with the Green Left Party.
ATA: WE ARE THE ADDRESS OF HOPE
In the letter she sent, Ata emphasized that the claim of change and transformation would be enlarged and reflected in the ballot box and said: “There is less than a month left for the May 14 elections. We are aware of the value of the game we will use for an equal, free life, a fair and democratic order. We know the time has come. We will voice our protest with our votes for anything we think is contaminated, corrupted and deteriorated. Our concerns about election and ballot box security are not unfounded. We will do the best we can. The box is waiting for us. We are the address of hope with the Green Left Party.”
TUNCEL: ÊDÎ BES E
Tuncel, on the other hand, said: "The snake that does not change its skin is facing extinction, and the minds and powers that do not change itself are facing extinction. The May 14 elections will be a strong start for a democratic, liberal, just and peaceful life in Turkey. May 14 is a date when the people's administration will lead to change. We call on everyone who says “Êdî bese e(Enough is enough)” to the current situation to vote and protect their votes by going to the polls on May 14. We are establishing the path to democracy and freedom with the Green Left.”
