Ankara-based operation: 19 prsoners in 5 cities

ANKARA - 19 people were detained in the operation launched in 5 cities based in Ankara on the grounds of the Newroz celebration.
 
Police raids were carried out on many addresses on the grounds of an investigation launched against those who attended the Newroz celebrations in Ankara. It was stated that 19 people were detained in house raids in 5 Ankara-based cities.
 
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Party Assembly (PM) Member Bedriye Irmak and Nebahat Çalpan, Halil Güzel, Barış Güzel, Ahmet Güzel, Aykut Bozkuş, Cahit Gümüş, Mehmet Üstündağ, Yasin Bahçivan, Samet Ayataç, Ramazan Ağgöz and Kadir Aytaç are among those detained. 
 
It was stated that the people who were detained and accused of "making propaganda for a terrorist organization" during the celebrations were taken to the Ankara Security Directorate.
