ANKARA - It was learned that at the Central Executive Board meeting of the Green Left Party, a decision was taken for an "altogether fighting" to lift the absolute isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The Central Executive Board (MYK) of the Green and Left Future Party (Green Left Party) met yesterday. At the meeting, it was decided that the names Democratic People's Party (DHP) and Free Life Party (Free Party) would be submitted as suggestions to the Congress Preparatory Commission for the new name of the party.
At the meeting, it was also learned that an altogether struggle against isolation was decided on the 25th anniversary of the international conspiracy that started with the expulsion of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan from Syria on October 9, 1999. The Central Executive Board agreed on the determination that the isolation of PKK Leader Öcalan, who has not been heard from for 31 months, has caused the deadlock in the Kurdish issue, the concept of war and the deepening of multiple crises.
It was decided to make a statement on October 1, when the Parliament opened, with the participation of the party's Co-Speakers Çiğdem Kılıçgün Uçar and İbrahim Akın and all MPs associated with the agenda in question.
EMPHASIS ON 'FIGHT FOR A FINAL SOLUTION'
The congress agenda of the Green Left Party will include the lifting of the isolation imposed on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, a democratic solution to the Kurdish issue, a new constitution and local elections, with the emphasis of "not waiting for a solution, but fighting for a definitive solution". The party will start working for local elections after the congress.
VISIT TO FEDERATED KURDISTAN
On the other hand, it was learned that a delegation from the party will visit the Federated Kurdistan Region before the congress and invite the political parties and non-governmental organizations there to the congress.
