ISTANBUL - Condemning Israel's attacks and drawing attention that the government bombed children in Northern and Eastern Syria, Peace Mothers said: "Kurdish people are oppressed like the Palestinian people."
The attacks launched by Turkey against Northern and Eastern Syria on October 4 continue. Many civilians lost their lives in Turkey's attacks, which targeted many service buildings such as schools, hospitals, dams, water, electricity and petrol stations. International Human Rights Watch (HRW) published a report on the attacks carried out by Turkey between October 5-10. HRW's report stated that 3.5 million people were affected by the attacks.
Condemning Turkey's attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria, Peace Mothers drew attention that the government, condemning Israel targeting civilian settlements, carried out similar attacks in Northern and Eastern Syria.
'WHY DOES TURKEY TARGET THE CIVILIANS IN ROJAVA?'
Drawing attention that Turkey's attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria have never stopped, Peace Mother Sabiha Bozan said: " Turkey constantly attacks the region. The government targets hospitals, children, women and civilians by saying 'I am shooting terrorism'.The people there are victims. Why does Turkey target the civilians in Rojava? The state's oppression has always been on the Kurds. No one in the world speaks out for us. They say 'People have rights', but human rights are not implemented for us. It shouldn't be like this. Everyone who says 'I am human' should condemn these attacks and not accept them. This system is waging a dirty war on Rojava. They want the Kurds not to raise their heads and not to have rights. Turkey stated that Turk and Kurd are brothers. We do not accept such brotherhood. Why should brothers shoot brothers? So, they have never been our brothers and they never will be. We do not accept this. We do not want this war on the oppressed people of Rojava."

'PEOPLE GOT OLD IN THE WAR'
Noting that people in Northern and Eastern Syria are born, grow up and grow old in war, Bozan said: “The war is so deep, dirty and long that it stops one's brain. Enough is enough, why are these oppressed Kurdish people under so much oppression? As mothers, we are very sorry. We don't want this war anymore. People have no hostility towards each other. This system, the state, carries out massacres on Kurds for its own benefit. "
'KURDISH PEOPLE ARE OPPRESSED LIKE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE''
Stating that wars are carried out against humanity, Bozan said: "The war in Palestine is unacceptable. War means hunger and death. When we look at it today, we do not want the war on Palestine either, we oppose it. But why doesn't the world that speaks out for Palestine also speak out for the Kurds? Why is the world silent about the war on us? All of these are political. The government always says, 'We condemn Israel, why is it doing this?', but their bombs fall on Rojava's children and hospitals. It's a contradictory situation. Kurdish people are oppressed like the Palestinian people. Just as the world expresses its discomfort for Palestine, we want it to do the same for the Kurds. We do not want war in any country."
