ŞIRNEX - Politicians and non-governmental organizations representatives who took part in the "Great Freedom March" that reached Qileban district called for "dialogue" for the solution of the Kurdish issue.
The "Great Freedom March", which was initiated with the demanding physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan and a democratic solution to the Kurdish issue, continues on its 5th day with two branches. One branch of the march came together in front of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) in the Qileban (Uludere) district of Şirnex. The marchers, who stood for a long time despite the cold weather, often chanted slogans such as "Bijî berxedana zindanan (Long live resistance of dungeons)" and "No isolation, peace right now".
'WE WILL SUCCESS'
Speaking at the meeting where enthusiasm prevailed, DEM Party Colemêrg Deputy Oznur Bartın pointed out that there was an absolute isolation against PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan. Bartın said: "We want freedom for Leader of Kurds Mr. Abdullah Ocalan and a solution to the Kurdish issue. We started marching in Wan and Qers on February 1. We are going from village to village, neighborhood to neighborhood. The Kurds want a solution and say: ‘Let my leader be free, let the Kurdish issue to be solved.’ Anyone who wants democracy, freedom, unity and equality must support the march and raise their voice. Let's bring this solution together. We believe in ourselves, we will succeed."
'LET THE KURDISH ISSUE BE SOLVED BY DIALOGUE'
DEM Party Qileban Municipality Co-Mayor candidates Feride Ender and Ali Ürek also greeted the marchers in their speeches and asked for the isolation in İmralı to be abolished. DEM Party District Co-Chair Abdullah Gün said: "We also celebrate this blessed march. We want our social issues and the Kurdish issue to be solved through dialogue."
The event here ended with the slogan "Shoulder to shoulder against isolation".
The marchers then met with shopkeepers. The next stop of the marchers is the town of Gundikê Mêlê (Balveren) in the center of Şirnex.
