ŞIRNEX - Politicians and democratic mass representatives who took part in the "Great Freedom March" that reached Qileban district called for "dialogue" for the solution of the Kurdish issue.
The "Great Freedom March", which was initiated with the demand for PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan's physical freedom and a democratic solution to the Kurdish issue, continues on its 5th day with two branches. One branch of the march came together in front of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) in the Qileban (Uludere) district of Şirnex (Şırnak). The marchers, who stood for a long time despite the cold weather, often chanted slogans such as "Bijî berxedana zindanan (Long live resistance of dungeons" and "No to isolation, peace right now".
'WE WILL SUCCESS'
Speaking at the meeting where enthusiasm prevailed, DEM Party Colemêrg Deputy Oznur Bartın pointed out that there is an absolute isolation against PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan. Bartın said: "We want freedom for Leader of the Kurds Mr. Abdullah Ocalan and a solution to the Kurdish issue. We started our march in Wan and Qers on February 1. We are going from village to village, neighborhood to neighborhood. The Kurds want a solution. Anyone who wants democracy, freedom, unity and equality must support the march. Raise their voice. Let's bring this solution together. We believe in ourselves, we will succeed."
'LET THE KURDISH ISSUE BE SOLVED THROUGH DIALOGUE'
DEM Party Qileban Municipality Co-Mayor candidates Feride Ender and Ali Urek also greeted the marchers in their speeches and asked for the isolation in Imralı to be abolished. DEM Party District Co-Chair Abdullah Gun said: "We also celebrate this blessed march. We want our social problems and the Kurdish issue to be solved through dialogue."
The marchers then met with shopkeepers. The next stop of the marchers is the town of Gundikê Mêlê (Balveren) in the center of Şirnex.
